| Love Reign O'er Me (Pearl Jam / Love Reign O'er Me (single)) | HoranVan rated this Song Yay and said cover | RATE THIS! |
| The Picture (Son Volt / The Picture - Single) | fozboot rated this Song Meh and said On first listen it didn't really grab me, though the horns are nice. However, Son Volt's songs often take a while to grow on me, so this may yet be a yay. | RATE THIS! |
| Riders On the Storm (Fredwreck Remix) (Snoop Dogg featuring The Doors / Riders On the Storm (Fredwreck Remix) - Single) | fozboot rated this Song Yay and said Many rock/hip-hop collaborations, especially posthumous ones, are disappointing but this one actually works, since Snoop Dogg's laid-back flow goes perfectly with the underlying track, and both Snoop Dogg and Jim Morrison share an amoral, southern California sensibility. | RATE THIS! |
| Better (Guns 'n' Roses / Chinese Democracy) | fozboot rated this Song Meh and said Interesting. It's not... terrible. It might even be good–I'd need to listen to it more. I think I'd feel better about if it was called Axl Rose solo, not Guns 'n' Roses, since no hint of the original band can be heard in it. | RATE THIS! |
| Distant Early Warning (Rush / Grace Under Pressure) | fozboot rated this Song Yay and said This song seems to be written from the point of view of a person who is worried about a friend; but I always thought that it was a metaphor for how Canadians regard the USA in general, and in particular, how they saw the move the US made to the right in the early 80s, when the song was written, when Canadians were very worried about their country serving as a battlefield between the US and the USSR. | RATE THIS! |
| As with rosy steps the morn (Theodora) (Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, Harry Bicket, OAE / Handel Arias) | bhhall rated this Song Yay and said one of the best from a great artist | RATE THIS! |
| Luci Baines (Yo La Tengo / Live Session - EP) | fozboot rated this Song Yay and said Rockin' cover of an incredibly obscure 60s garage band song, written about LBJ's daughter, of all things. | RATE THIS! |
| Sea Legs (The Shins / Wincing the Night Away) | fozboot rated this Song Yay and said One of my favorites from "Wincing the Night Away" it has a very cool wah-wah solo near the end. One of the few songs I've ever head that reminded me of "Shakedown Street" Grateful Dead. | RATE THIS! |
| Love Reign O'er Me (Pearl Jam / Reign Over Me OST) | fozboot rated this Song Yay and said "Love Reign O'er Me" seems like one of those iconic songs that, if you were to cover, would have to be done in such a strikingly different fashion that the song would be made unrecognizable--either speeding it way up, or stripping it down to its bare essentials. However, if there is one current that could hope to match The Who in terms of muscular chops and vocal prowess, it's Pearl Jam, and they tackle this song head on, and acquit themselves very well indeed. | RATE THIS! |
| Gronlandic Edit (Of Montreal / Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?) | fozboot rated this Song Yay and said i agree | RATE THIS! |
