fozboot rated this song Yay and said Many rock/hip-hop collaborations, especially posthumous ones, are disappointing but this one actually works, since Snoop Dogg\'s laid-back flow goes perfectly with the underlying track, and both Snoop Dogg and Jim Morrison share an amoral, southern California sensibility.

fozboot rated this song Yay and said This song seems to be written from the point of view of a person who is worried about a friend; but I always thought that it was a metaphor for how Canadians regard the USA in general, and in particular, how they saw the move the US made to the right in the early 80s, when the song was written, when Canadians were very worried about their country serving as a battlefield between the US and the USSR.

fozboot rated this song Yay and said \"Love Reign O\'er Me\" seems like one of those iconic songs that, if you were to cover, would have to be done in such a strikingly different fashion that the song would be made unrecognizable--either speeding it way up, or stripping it down to its bare essentials. However, if there is one current that could hope to match The Who in terms of muscular chops and vocal prowess, it\'s Pearl Jam, and they tackle this song head on, and acquit themselves very well indeed.
